Ukiaqsaaq is SAW Nordic Lab’s first-ever annual Indigenous art market. Ukiaqsaaq, which refers to the autumnal period in Inuktitut, is a time of harvest for many Indigenous peoples. What better way to celebrate the spirit of the season than to collect works by up-and-coming and established Indigenous artists from the region and beyond? 100% of sales will go to the participating artists.
Curated by Aedan Corey, Ukiaqsaaq will feature more than 20 Indigenous artists, including local artist Jennifer Brunet-Rentechem, who created a special commissioned work for the market, produced in the Nordic Lab's screenprinting studio and available exclusively at Ukiaqsaaq!
