Make Your Mark Campaign – Phase 2: Nordic Lab

With the goal of raising $25,000, we invite community members to contribute to the Nordic Lab, SAW’s new Indigenous-led research and production space for artists from circumpolar nations. With a donation starting at $50, you will invest in a space where artists from all disciplines can come together in conversation with a focus on the North. The Nordic Lab’s various programs (residencies, exhibitions, workshops, panel discussions, performances and off-site projects) bring together Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists, creators and learners to advance contemporary artistic practices in Canada and internationally, and respond to calls to action by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada.

All funds raised through the Make Your Mark Campaign – Phase 2: Nordic Lac will go toward production equipment acquisitions for the Nordic Lab’s dedicated studio and screenprinting facilities. The Nordic Lab initiative is funded by the Creating, Knowing and Sharing program of the Canada Council for the Arts, the Nordic Council of Ministers, the Ontario Trillium Foundation, the Ottawa Community Foundation, the Ottawa Art Society and the City of Ottawa.

Support the Nordic Lab and help create a new model for Indigenous-led artistic research and collaboration in the heart of downtown Ottawa!

All donations are tax-deductible and include a two-year non-voting membership.
